Ceramic Floor vases, 'Sepia Women'

A group of wistful figures in traditional Andean dress adorn the body of this gorgeous handmade ceramic decorative vessel by Francisco Guerreros. Carefully hand-painted, the artist is committed to faithfully and realistically depicting the people and cultures of his beloved homeland. Purely decorative in nature, this vessel should never be filled with water or any other liquid. Using a special process to create this ceramic floor vases, Guerreros starts by molding the piece from the finest clays on his antique potter's wheel and kiln-firing it at a temperature of over 1472° F (800° C). Afterwards, he carefully polishes the surface, and then hand-paints his original designs with latex paints.
